Lowell Folk Festival 2024

The Society once again participated in the annual Lowell Folk Festival. Over the weekend we had over 1200 visitors come through our railroad exhibit. Our volunteers answered questions about all aspects of the Boston & Maine Railroad. Many visitors thanked us for what we are doing and have accomplished, others shared their stories of family members who had worked for the B&M. This event is a great way for us to make the general public aware of our organization. The big hit of the event is the HO train layout, this fascinated both young and older generations alike. Thanks to Dave Hampton for taking care of this part of our exhibit. Sales of Society T-Shirts and hats was very brisk. We would not be able to carry out an event like this without the help of our dedicated volunteers, thanks go to: Carl Byron, Rick Hurst, Dan Hyde, Christine Nigzus, Dave Hampton, Rick Conard, Andrew Riedl, Rick Kfoury, Russ Monroe, Lee Duncan.
