November Meeting Highlights

Lowell, Mass., November 18, 2017 -- The Society held its November membership meeting today at Rogers Hall, Lowell. Chairman Paul Kosciolek called the meeting to order and announced the results of the 2017 election of officers and directors. Daniel W. Hyde (Dan) was elected to the office of President. Other officers elected were James Nigzus (Jim), Vice President; Paul T. Kosciolek, Treasurer; Wayne M. Gagnon, Secretary; Michael E. Basile, Jr. (Mike), Clerk. Directors elected were James P. Nigzus (Jimmy); Russell F. Munroe, Jr. (Russ); and Paul T. Kosciolek. Click here for a complete roster of officers, directors, and staff.

Past President Carl R. Byron furnished the entertainment for the meeting. Carl's two part presentation began with his 1975 chase of the American Freedom Train from Williamstown, Mass., to East Deerfield, Mass. The second section was a railroad history of the Shelburne Falls, Mass. area.

The time is now to put our December 9, meeting on your calendar. This will be our annual Holiday meeting and will feature refreshments and entertainment by our members. Click here for more information.
